The policy will exclude claims arising from Physical or mental disabilities or conditions or illness of a chronic or recurring nature for which a person has received medical treatment from a qualified medical practitioner or hospital or has been taking medication for a medical condition during the past 12 months other than the conditions listed below.

The following medical conditions are automatically acceptable

Achilles Tendon Injury Cyst-Testicular HRT (hormone replacement therapy)
Anal Fissure/Fistula Cystitis Macular Degeneration
AttentionDefecit Hyperactivity Disorder Diabetes (diet controlled) Menorrhagia
Benign Prostatic Enlargement Diarrhoea/Vomiting(resolved) Migraine (confirmed diagnosis, no ongoing investigations)
Blindness Dislocated Hip Myalgic Encephalomyelitis (ME)(if the only symptom is fatigue)
Broken/Fractured bones(not head or spine) Eczema Nasal Polyp(s)
Carpal Tunnel Syndrome Epididymitis Neuralgia
Cataracts Essential Tremor Neuritis
Colitis (no hospital admissions in last 12 months) Fungal Nail Infection Nut Allergy
Common cold/Infuenza Gastric Reflux Reflux Oesophagitis

In addition to the above,the following medical conditions are also automatically acceptable provided you do not have more than two of these conditions or any other pre-existing conditions.

Hypertension(high blood pressure) Always provided no more than one medication is prescribed and that there has been no change in such treatment within the last 6 months and that the person is a non-smoker.

Asthma Always provided there have been no hospital admissions within the last 12 months or any worsening of te conditionin the preceeding two years of inception or renewal and it must be controlled with no more than 2 self administerd medications( No Nebulise and No Home Oxygen). You must be a non-smoker and able to walk 200 yards on the flat without becoming short of breath.

Arthritis (Osteoarthritis, Rheumatoid, or Psoriatic Arthritis, Rheumatism) provided always that there have been no hospital admissions within the last 12 months and that the person is not awaiting surgery.

Osteopaenia;Fragile Bones provided always that there have been NO vertebral(backbone) fractures

If you have a condition that is not on the above list it may be acceptable however you will need to obtain approval from the Medical Screening line
